Hi ...I'm Romilah
asg 2 task 2 (maizatunsakinah)
that my opinion about the task 2.
In task 2 about learning English I choose in your dream the speaker is Crystal. The title is interesting for me to listen and read. The first time when I listen the recording it same like task 1. I can’t understand what the speaker talks. He talks very fast. When I read the article it used the simple word in this article. I can understand the article easily. But a little word it new for me such as circumstances and reverie. But I found it in dictionary to make me more understand the meaning.
In this title about in your dream explain about the fantasy imagination and unrealistic. For example one day I want to be a million air or my dream cars is Ferrari. It is a dream for now. Maybe one day it is realty but no a fantasy. I enjoy reading this article. It gave me a lot of benefit to improve my English language.

Task 1 : In Your Dream
My listening experience about online listening and writing are, in my first I heard my friend experience. They told me that they don’t like to listen Prof. David Crystal’s recording. So I think I don’t like too before I listen that. As you know, Prof. David Crystal spoke in American Language. Beside that, he spoke not clear and very fast. So, for me is very difficult to understand what their had said.
First, I loggoed onto the website and I choose one topic is In Your Dream. When I first listen this topic, I cannot understand a lot of words because her language is very difficult to me while I just listen that. I listen for many times and lastly I don’t have many choice and then I read the audio script. So that I know a lot of words while I cannot understand before that. After that I listen again. I can understand better than before that.
Task 2 : Wysiwyg
First, when I listen the topic I cannot understand a lot of word. Then after I read and I listen again I can understand the topic. In my opinion, online listening practice can help me to learn more and I can improve my listening skill. I can learn new vocabulary too. If I listen a lot of topic like that maybe I can improve my skill to understand difficult vocabulary. But I don’t like to listen that because it is so boring.
My new vocabulary are:
circumstance - fact, occurrence, or condition
accolade - praise given, touch made with sword at conferring of
knighthood
task2
Today I choose another topic on the learning English page. I choose the tittle about “In Your dreams”. It meant someone is being unrealistic, very optimistic and very hopeful. Any circumstances in which expectations are raised….
First time I listen this article, I can’t understand what about he talked because he speak very fast…. I think this article is difficult to understand but it’s so good....
Then, I try to listen and read again and again…I also refer to a dictionary when I don’t know about a new word…After that , I can understand about this article…
It mixes two senses of the word 'dream' - what happens when you're asleep, of course, and the sense of day dream or reverie - it's a very general use.
I like this article and I’m so enjoyed it..It is interesting article…when I listened and read this article, I can get a new vocabulary…For example: “circumstances”..
Finally, thanks for my cute madam Wan Iman Wan Salim because give me many knowledge, advice, love and support me in learning English…..I will never forget you and will always miss u…I hope our relationship never end forever and ever..INSYAALLAH….miss u madam…

The grammar was I listened is about past participle. That my favourite grammar in study English because it’s so easy an not difficult to understand. Moreover, while I learned about past participle with my madam, it is very comfortable. I can afford whole of study in my class. Thank for my madam..
That grammar help me to upgrade my skill in English. Although I can’t writing very good in essay. But I will try do the best among the best after that. task 2:LEARNING ENGLISH PAGE
Hi friends and my Madam Iman!!
Today I want to share with your all about the topic I choose from learning english page. I think its about grammar and vocabulary, it's very interesting, and when I listened this topic I think it can improve my english language expecially my grammar.
From this topic, I've learn about past particple, noun, subject, have to done and to have done. This is the infinitive form of the present perfect tense. Remember, we have to know that, we use the present perfect to describe something which has been (recently) completed and still has a bearing on present and or future circumstances..I think this is new topic for me today!
Besides, from the vocabulary, I found many new words, it can make my english language more better!I can get more information and knowledge about learning english page because it has many topic about english, for me this page very excellent to make someone more better about english language in the future.

azmahiyah
how are you??? i miss you all since our class and the drama finished yesterdaybut i know our relation will not finish, right???
ok... i would like to discuss about the david cristal. i think, he've very talented in vocabulary.
you know why? he talked about the strange words like as wysiwigh, wicked, and wuss.
i think these words are new word that i found but i got many thing about these.
i would to share you abou these. wiysiwigh is an acronym meaning. hit's has many means like as what you see is what get.
while, the meaning of wiked is wonderful, great, cool, and splendid.
it also used to mean bad, it isn't great or nougty but wicked cool meaning is very cool.
it mainly used as an adjective in front of noun. for example : we had a wicked time.
wuss meaning is ineffectual person or indecisive and weak. i think, it's from a word 'wussy' that from 'pussy' and then been pussy. i think it's a kind of talking down about cat.wimp meaning is that is an ineffectual person and if we pluss 'wimp' and pussy so, it has been wussy and then wuss. ok, that all from me. .....azmahiyah ab rahman
now i knows about "similar sounds" .There are some vowel sounds in English which are very similar. It's easy to get them wrong as those different sounds might not appear in your language. For example, Spanish speakers may find it very difficult to hear the difference between the words 'ship' and 'sheep'.

Task 2

TASK 2: BRUMMIE BY JACKIE DALTON
For me, the article is little bit difficult because I need repeat the recording and read the script until three times to understand whole of the article
The intro very interesting and Jackie Dalton who as a speaker ask three people to comment on it. They‘re Carl Chinn, as a Professor of community history at Birmingham University, Anisa who lives in Birmingham's Asian community and Joan Hunter, works for a radio station. The Brummie accent is loved by some, but hated by many. For them it is being a Brummie is all about our identity, it's about who we are as a person, where we’re grew up, where we’re born and the people to whom we belong.
I think it is interesting because I learned new experience but the speakers talked very fast and they spoke with
Lastly but not at least, let see new phase that I found from the article:
Convinced completely sure about something
Endearing pleasant or nice
Warm friendly and endearing
Bound run quickly with long steps
Annoying making you fill angry or slightly angry
hazami
Today, i have gone in to learning english page, i chosen an article about ten days in Manchester. Tony Marshall and May Hunter work for a travel company. They are attending an exhibition in Manchester to sell holidays, promote their company and find an agent. they have many problem to manage with agent in Manchester.
this article very long so i bore to listen, some times i understand what they said and sometimes not. from this article i have learn new vocabulary and when i not understand the word , i find out the meanings of the word from dictionary.
i think this article is difficult to understand, so i should read more than once in transcript.

The article is good to me because it is used the standart grammar. It's helps me to learn more about grammar.I can hear the manner of speaking and practice it. The article is about conflict between goverment and rebel-held regions. They want to battle. So, the problem is both of them want to used the cocoa revenue to spend it to the battle. The Global Witness is an organisation that want to ensure conflict-free cocoa. The organisation don't want the revenue of cocoa is use wrongly. The words that I don't know the meaning are profits, blood diamond,adversely,fuelled,violence,split,rebel-held regions, revenue, funded, tacit, divert, threaten and sanctions.

Today I have gone in to learning English page. This is for ASSIGNMENT 2: TASK 2. You know, Professor David Crystal was speaking fast enough to me. For this period, I have chosen a title WYSIWYG in FOR TEACHER page. It is about an acronym meaning ‘what you see is what you get’. It storied how the word begins used by people. It origin from the United States, in a television show, in the early 1970s; it was called ‘Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In’. An actor there called Flip Wilson appeared as a cross-dressing character called Geraldine and as he came on, he would say, ‘what you see, it what you get!’
From this article I have learn new vocabulary such as, CIRCUMSTANCES, BROCHURE, SCENERY and ACCOLADE. I find out the meanings of the word from dictionary. So I can understand what David Crystal has talked in WYSIWYG.
I think in this page, the sentence a bit difficult from the penguin reader’s book. I should read more than once. Like usual, sometime I can’t catch the word’s hided. So I need read the transcript of the audio. Em.. I think I should stop here. That all for today about my story and what I have done for this assignment. Ok, salam..
